Long live mail (the real kind, you know, the stuff that arrives in your actual mail box). Flux Hawaii magazine agrees, and they rounded up some of Hawaii’s talents (ahem … insert throat clearing here … why thank you, Flux Hawaii) to show that the beautiful art of stationery is not only alive and kickin’ but an important part of our well-being. I mean, just think how it makes you feel when you get something (other than bills) in the mail - happy, excited, curious, special. Well, here’s to making you all feel like someone special. ‘Cause guess what? You are gosh darn it, you are.
I’m a late bloomer, slow starter, or what ever you want to call starting a new career late in life. I lost my job and decided it would be a good idea to start my own business. However, the timing wasn’t exactly perfect because I got pregnant at the same time … with twins. Well, you can imagine how excited I was when Honolulu Magazine featured me as a new stationery designer on the scene. This helped me get the boost of confidence I need to carry on, albeit, slowly, but surely.
